From what I've read so far, nobody has mentioned Bezerker. Bezerker is an amazing metal band, and were the first metal band I listened to. I think they might be considered Death Metal.

It's also very good. More in the vein of "Imaginations..." with structured but heavy songs. Hansi is in splendid form too (in studio, of course. bet he still rasps like a 90 year old live. seen them about 10 times and he fucked 1 show out of 3)

There's a fair bit of power metal to come out this year, including a new Dream Evil, which is one of my more favourite conventional power metal bands. As with most bands, though, nothing they do really comes as close as their first album.
Also, as a non-sequitur, this is the best Christian metal band of all time (for the little that's worth): Last edited by Cretaceous Bob; 08-01-2010 at 07:41 AM. |

Yeah. This. It is awesome. Sorry its in two parts. YouTube didn't have my favorite YOB, so this will have to do.
Also, please forgive me, as I am full of liquid fermented grapes. YOB!!!! *suck it* *i'm sorry......i've been drinking* *thunderstorms!!?* YOB!!!! and yeah....Edit to add this: Just so it gets stuck in someone else's head, too. You're welcome <3 Last edited by metal_martha_stewart; 08-05-2010 at 01:00 AM. |

Leng Tche is amazing! When I saw them the vocalist was dressed up like a ninja, blew every other band out of the water that night. Great live band.
Also MMS, My band actually opened for YOB back in 03, great stoner doom from Eugene OR and really nice guys as well. The drummer had the weirdest drum set I've ever seen live, the kick was like 4 feet tall and skinny, the rest of the set was all weird individual pieces put together (could've swore there were bicycle parts welded to other things). |
