What? That was the best thing they've done since Horrorscope. The song Ironbound is awesome.

And Mercenary were great. Their last album before the band pretty much fell apart was shit. Something's still going to come out with the Mercenary name on it, but with an almost completely new crew.

Ironbound is a good track but the album sounded on automatic pilot.

Considering that other thrash masters (like Annihilator, Death Angel, Testament, even Exodus, although they are stuck in a rut) have done much better stuff, i expected better from Overkill since they always been a step up usually.

This one sounded like the later Megadeth stuff: like them doing homework.

And i accept that but i wont praise it.

Megadeth has had a much stronger post-80s career than any of those bands, including Overkill. RiP/Youthanasia/TWNAH/TSHF/UA/Endgame are all great albums.

Of course, I don't care much for Annihilator, DA, Testament, or Exodus, and in general don't give a fuck about thrash, so it probably figures that I like more of Overkill and Megadeth's stuff. I won't try to say that either's current output compares to either's 80s stuff, but I still vastly enjoy it.

8 Foot Sativa are a NZ metal band, they broke up a while ago but they are fuckin' sweet


Tainted are also a NZ band, they are from Christchurch (my home town). I saw them a couple of months ago when they opened for The Black Dahlia Murder. So good!

I love me some Black Dahlia Murder. One of my favorite metal bands currently. I was even dumb enough to get a tattoo of them spur of the moment. :P

Oh man, they are just amazing live. Such a good atmosphere. They played my favourite songs so I was stoked!

That is fuckin' sweet! It was cool when they came here, no good bands come to NZ and if they do they never come to my hometown but they did
