if you haven't heard of Asking Alexandria, give them a listen.
they blend some music styles pretty creatively.

I enjoyed most of Strapping Young Lad, I just wish they hadn't left on such a low note (The New Black... ugh).

And though it's way less metal, I fucking LOVE Devin's solo and DTP work. Got a chance to meet him and see an acoustic performance before a Devin Townsend Project show a couple months back. Man, he's a nice dude.

he is, i interviewed him once. he is a weird dude (although less now than back in his bipolar days) but hes super nice. Smoked a LOOOOOOOOOT of pot back then.

I remember also seeing him on an insane tour where he basically played with all his projects for almost 6 hours with pauses. He wlaked into the room all wrapped up in wooly canadian stuff (he had one of those hat with earmuffs). i was pretty drunk and stoked and i hugged him. he just giggled. there arent many musicians that are that friendly.

Me? Metal? Not so much. I get into post-rock, which is the hardest stuff I listen to, even though it's not hard at all.

One of my favorite bands is Turisas. I just love this shit so much... not the most technical, but it's huge, epic and fun. Puts a smile on my face every time.
