Well in those situations I tend to say, "I don't like them". But if you're going to talk about their songwriting like they're DragonForce, I'm going to scratch my head a bit.

I've actually owned it for like a week and it's just been sitting on a pile of clothes unopened. I like Amon Amarth a lot, but, at the end of the day, we all know what we're getting with an Amon Amarth album, and I already have a lot of Amon Amarth.
They put out so much live DVDs. I have their 4 or 5 disc set of live shows, TotTG came with a live DVD, and now this one came with a live DVD. |

I kind of take back what I said about Turisas's new album. There's a lot to get hung up on, like that the first half is weak, the lyrical shift is cheesy, the metal has kind of taken a back seat, etc., but when what they are trying to do works, it's brilliant, and nobody else is really doing what they're doing.
They've injected an orchestral sound that is reminiscent of movies from like 60 years ago, which I thoroughly enjoy, and nobody makes music like that anymore. It's not an even album by any means, but if they keep backloading albums with spurts of brilliance, I'll keep buying them. I wish they could figure out a way to make a consistently great album, though. |

seems like me and crustaceous are the only ones who care about good music, thats such a shame.
Anyway. Playing at the moment New Argus. couldnt find a video so here's one from their debut. Classic pre-NWOBHM/Doom stuff. Yeah. New Altar Of Plagues. Slow Burner, but good. New Atomic Bitchwax. 47 minutes of permanent climax. Latest New Kewepers Of The Water Towers. Kicks ass and takes names. too short though again cant find a new video, so ill post an old one. not that anyone gives a shit. |
