Oh shit, I missed all the Blind Guardian talk. Love those guys, even though a lot of it is pure cheese. Hard to not enjoy Hansi's voice... loved him in Demons & Wizards too. Kind of wish Jon Schaffer would stop writing bad Iced Earth albums and go back to writing good Demons & Wizard albums (or hell, if he wants to start writing good Iced Earth tunes again, he can do both... I surely won't protest).

they're a 1982 band, pre NWOBHM and between those seminal bands that bigger name cite as an influence.
which means that younger listeners wont get them. That singer is newcomer. the original one killed himself, then they got Martin Walkyier for a bit but that obviously did not work Last edited by Junkenstein; 05-13-2011 at 01:19 PM. |

Also giving a first listen to the nrìew devin tonsend project album
Its weird andf umpredictable in a hard to describe way. Hius mannerisms are there and as usual, he does music like verty few do. this thing mutates from electro-rock, to apocalytptic and operatic metal, to something else entirely. I have no idea if i like it or not. whic can be positive, since hes at his best when he defies any cathegorization |
