Oh shiiit. Just snagged a ticket for a concert I had no idea existed until a couple days ago. Rockstar Mayhem Festival. I guess it usually has some really shitty bands on the bill, and unfortunately this year is no exception.
HOWEVER... Red Fang, Machine Head, In Flames, Megadeth. Plus a meet and greet with the Red Fang guys. $22? Yes please. Just hoping In Flames plays some older tunes. Plus it'll be nice avoiding all the traffic as we leave early and ditch Godsmack and Disturbed (these guys are fucking still around??!). |

I ain't dropping no fucking 60 bones on a show with Godsmack and Disturbed headlining unless they brought half of Finland over to open for them. |

Bob, what do you honestly and unbiasedly think of Mustaine's live performances lately?
Ive seen him on the Big Four Tourdate on the 6th, and he looked tired and bored. And hes been like that for the whole tour. i really dont get why hes doing that if he doesnt want to. its not like he desperately needs money Also : Last edited by Junkenstein; 07-20-2011 at 09:39 AM. |

I think we already talked about this a bit, but I think it's dependably pretty great. The tickets are overpriced, the shirts are overpriced, the crowd is pretty douchey, the setlist is too predictable, he plays too much new stuff, his stage presence is very mechanical and rehearsed... overall, it's quite clear that this is a business, a show, not a band playing some heavy fuckin' metal.
But at the end of the day, it's one of the best guitarists in the genre performing a great version of some of the best material in metal, so it's always worth my money. |
