i'll give your story a listen subs, speaking of personal stories the episode 1 of liquid courage is the probably the greatest drinking story i've ever heard.

As far as stories go, I am a huge fan of the Vinyl Cafe (CBC.ca/podcasting), but it might be too soft for you, but it's endearing and I find it funny.

I was pretty hard into Mur's Heaven and Hell series, but I can't get into her other stuff much. I do keep trying though, I want to like her.

Also, since I'm a nerd, I'd say buy the audiobooks of Winston Churchill's books about WW2, or Shelby Foote's The Civil War: A Narrative, or Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Chronicles, or Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander...
