You can never be too safe, I see people photoing/filming guns and shooting on the internet and always cringe from what I perceive as the lack of safety. I had dozens from my collection out that day photographing, so we were very cautious about safety.

I'm not sure about the terminology, but I tried firing the stock-less model and it was a bit unwieldy for my tastes. The tactical defender was a good compromise, and I got it cheep as fork.

Yeah, I love my 10-22. It was either this or a Marlin 60. I prefer clips to tube-fed designs, tho. The dealer had a tricked out 10-22 with a folding stock, bipod, and bayonet lug, but it all seemed a bit much. The classics have a charm of their own.

Well, they didn't have the M1 Carbine that I wanted, but they did have a Garand I liked, so I got it. Heres a stock pic of one, I'll post a pic of mine when I go shoot.
