I'm not a fan of body hair, in general. I don't mind chest hair, but (for me) back hair is a bit off-putting. HOWEVER, the bumpy ridges of your back pimples doesn't make for sexy good times, either. BACK HAIR ALL THE WAY, in this case.

To throw in my opinion, I'm not into metro men, but I don't think shaving your chest/nuts/face/whatever makes you metrosexual.

I don't necessarily think metrosexual and manscaping are the same thing. I think it's masculine to manscape. Grooming should not be limited to just the face. And since this is an era where body hair is no longer required for added warmth, I say there's nothing wrong with either going full out or full bare, whichever your preference is. I think of metrosexual as someone more refined than just manscaping. This is someone who goes the full nine with hair and skin care, good wardrobes, doesn't leave the house unless his hair and clothing are just right, and has a spare pair of tweezers in his desk drawer. That might be an extreme definition, but it's mostly meant to demonstrate the difference between what I think of the two.

Back hair is what it is. Many guys won't wax or don't like the burn from Nair. Bacne can be the result of bad exfoliating, or ingrown hairs, or a few things. I think of bacne as something preventable, just like acne on any other part of the body. I am not terribly thrilled with either, but if I had to choose, I'd prefer back hair to bacne, so long as a man isn't rocking a full mansweater. That's not for me.

I try to prevent acne with two pills a day and cleaning my bedding regularly. Not rolling around in your own filth has a lot going for it.
