Body wash or soap?
I'm just curious what other people use.
For the last year or so body wash seems to have gotten popular and has a larger selection now. Do you use body wash or soap? I like the idea of body wash, but it doesn't seem to lather well in the shower like soap does. Also, body wash goes quicker. It's easy to use a $6 thing of it in a couple weeks, where a 99 cent bar of soap last 3 months. It feels like a marketing trick, like all the brands now putting out clinical strength deodorant. We didn't stink before, but we need stronger stuff for triple the price now.

I use bar soap, but bars of dial only last 7-10 days before they're too small. I don't think that bars cost a buck each, but I never really pay attention to prices when buying everyday items. There are at least ten bars in a pack and I think they're quite a bit less than $10.
Buying body wash is incredibly wasteful. You are paying for a bottle that will be thrown away after one use and paying to ship unneeded water to your local store. Loofas are stupid too. Cotton wash cloths are incredibly cheap, much softer than plastic, and easily washed/sanitized in the laundry. Using bar soap you don't really need to use a washcloth or loofa at all. |
