Canadians want to come to Texas?? Also my sister lives in Texas as well, just about an 8 hour drive from me. (I flew there, then drove back with her. They were gonna come visit us anyway.) Last edited by Luna; 09-28-2013 at 06:07 PM. |

Canadians snowbird down to Texas.....
Luna, you don't understand what it's like here in winter...its so cold in montreal ppl leave for the winter season, we call them snwbirds...here are a few facts: Tears and snots freeze on contact Car fluids and tires freeze. If you dont have the right fluid in your car, you have to have it towed to an indoor garage to defrost. If you aren't properly dressed your skin will freeze in 3 minutes in -35c conditions. Frostbite can leave scarring I know, personally, one Canadian who died from exposure. He was a paraplegic who fell out of his chair on a cold night, -17c and died. I don't know alt of ppl though. It is not uncommon for our roads to be completely covered in a sheet of ice, add a touch of water to an ice cube the imagine driving on that. It is not uncommon to dig your car out of a snow drift for more then an hour, twice a day...once before leaving for work in a snowstorm, once when you try to get home. I bought snow boots and a jacket that went down to -40 c and thought...hmmm, iti guess it will do 4198 |
