One of the interesting thing about parenting is the way , with one event, you can screw your kid up. I flipped out when a wolf spider landed on my hand, screaming and literally freaking. Now mini campo is absolutely petrified of spiders. One 10 second hissy fit on my part, permenant hysteria for my son.......

a wolf spider landing on your hand is legitimate grounds to freak the fuck out.

and now mini-campo has a healthy respect for them, and this may save his life one day.

but yeah, the effect that parents behaviour has on the kids is pretty fucking impactful. this is one of the many reasons I don't want kids. I don't want to fuck up some little bastard because I had a bad day or got drunk or whatever.

So, in summary, I'd rather keep being a drunken arsehole than have a kid
