either 1. being the girl that was kidnapped for 18 years or 2. being her children who have never been to school? That story is totally fucked up. Imagine being kidnapped, raped by the guy, forced to bear kids without any medical attention and then growing up in some sort of fucked up compound in the back yard???? creepy to say the least!!

I'm always interested in what happens to people like this years after they're release. Usually they don't want to be interviewed, and I can understand why, nobody wants to be that kid for the rest of their lives, especially if they're trying to live normally.

It's also the family of the victims that can just be shot to hell in these stories. Remember Steven Stayner, the kid who inspired the TV movie "I know my first name is Steven?" His real-life older brother couldn't adjust to all the notoriety surrounding his family and his brother, and he ended up murdering some women in Yosemite and is on death row now. Very sad.
