So basically, if the company is cheap with newhires, you really can't advance much salary-wise by working hard and expecting some huge raise. Either look for a new job now and switch asap (if your 2 part-times earn less than the prospective offer), or stay for the experience then leave for a similar job with more money once you built up experience.

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to thank you for all of your advice. In the end the boss called me to ask why I hadn't responded to his lack of a counteroffer and we were able to negotiate on the phone. I just completed my first week on the job and it seems like a good fit. Thanks again for all of your help! -Rachael |
