Colleges?

So, I am going to start applying for colleges this year!

I wanna go for a BFA, but I am not good enough yet to apply for art school! So I wanna go to a normal university for a year or two before applying to art school.

Anyone have any suggestions for schools or advice for this process, please drop a line!

well the fact that you're in wyoming should make you want to apply to school on either one of the coasts lol.

Im going to be going to UC Irvine in the fall and I'm really happy with that. My older sister went to UCLA and loved it there too. My middle sister went to a private school around where we live and that was fine for her too.

But if you want to save money then its probably better for you to go to a community college close to where you live. that way you can save money for art school instead of being in debt even before you go.

Hah!

Well I've lived in CA all my life so I love it here. Southern California FTW!

Yeah...I mean all the UC's down here are good.

UCI
UCLA
UCSD(san diego)
UCSB(santa barbara)
and maybe even UCR (everyone gets in there (riverside))

they're all good though :]

Im soooo excited to start at UCI next month though. I dont think you'd be dissapointed. Plus only a 10min drive to the beach

California does sound really nice. New York also sounded like a fun 'adventure' haha

I would've loved more than anything to venture to the west coast. However, considering the cost of travel expenses, it just wasn't possible. Right now I go to St. Michael's College in Burlington, Vermont and I adore it. Burlington is a really sick, amazing college town and I definitely recommend it if you're considering coming to the east coast-- especially if you're into arty things.

Also in the east coast:
1. Fordham University (Bronx, NY)
2. Goucher College (Baltimore, MD)
3. UVM (Burlington, VT)
4. Emerson College (Boston, MA)

Now, if you're considering staying close to home, on the west coast I fell in love with:

1. Evergreen State (Olympia, WA)
2. Gonzaga (Spokane, WA)
3. Reed College (Portland, OR)
4. Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA)

well, a program I am in, Upward Bound, will pay for a bunch of college apps. So I am just going to dive in!

A big thing is I also want a few KATG fans from the school who wouldnt mind showing me around, ya know? It sucks being new and completely alone.
