I've been thinking about getting a DS and was just wonder if anyone could recommend some games to get if I do end up buying one. The chances of me getting one are like 90% so I would really appreciate some game ideas.

I'm interested in whatever Epic ends up calling "Project Sword" for the iPhone, especially since seeing the demo they released called Citidel that shows off how nice of a job they did porting the unreal engine to the iOS platform.

Did that team make Fallout 1 and 2? No. They have some of the people who made Fallout 1 and 2. Has that studio made any games as critically and commercially successful as Fallout 3? No. Has that studio royally fumbled a fantastic Western RPG franchise? Heck yes. So I don't see a reason to be optimistic.
They've had ex-Fallout guys for as long as Obsidian's been around. Hasn't stopped 'em from being the B-squad to every good western developer. Everybody knows they just put out a game, right? And nobody bought it because it was kind of crap? And was a pretty clearly just chasing Mass Effect's RPG innovations? Granted, New Vegas is probably going to be better than that because Bethesda just handed them an engine and a shitton of assets and said "Go make a really, really big expansion pack", which seems like something Obsidian is more suited for, but I'm still miffed at how they fucked up at storytelling in KOTOR II.
