Dive of Death- As lame as tv or lamer?

Did anyone here go and watch this? and was it as lame as it was on tv?

It was lame. First time I've seen him, and sure, his street magic was okay, even good, impressive.

But death dive, please. Doesn't count when you take breaks, and doesn't count when you are rigged to the grid on a fly system.

Please. Most anyone involved in theatre has been rigged or the rigger at one time.

i think his final dive fucked up though b/c even the look on his face was kind of, "oh oh this is not going to be that impressive."

the disappearance i guess was cool but not when you had to wait fucking 2 hours for it.

i try to like you db i do but you don't make it easy......

I just saw David Blaine on Regis and Kelly... and he did say that it went all wrong.. supposidly.. it was never intended to be a 'dive'..which is what the stunt was called in the first place.. which I find highly misleading. Rather.. the stunt was suposed to be him swooping down over the crowd to a bunch of balloons that he would then use to fly away over the park...Not the slow decent where he then hangs there for no apparent reason as we all saw.

I thought at the very least he should have dove down into a pool of shallow water.. circus folk have been doing that for ever.. Horse's have even done it.
