umm then the mods need to delete posts that are spam...I mean if somone just starts posting 30 post in a row its fairly easy to spot and said account should be banned. every other forum i visit does this so why cant they here

Try closing the window and opening a new browser. It happened to me once in paltalk, but just closing the window and opening it again worked for me.

If that doesn't work, try rebooting.

^^^off-topic^^^

Yes, the moderation should be more hands-on. A lot of the junk is caused by one asshole posting off-topic shit, which then drags other people into an argument.
So there should be more than four or five mods, and they should delete duplicate or superfluous threads, and ban people who get over-excited.

But I doubt I'll be around to see it. The deletion of the *NA threads was malicious and was disrespectful towards the fans who have done so much to "spread the word", and build the "community" which attends events and buys merchandise.
Disk space is CHEAP at the moment, I don't believe that was an issue.

Yes to moderation, no to the Forums. Bye.

What about just closing a thread, instead of deleting it. And state why it got closed or such. What about having a warning level?

Archiving would still mean they continue to use up resources. Deleting the massive threads do more to alleviate resource consumption then deleting multiple tiny threads unfortunately.

Part of this seems to be the random crackdown. Up until this event, there was never any real "moderation" taking place on the forums that I had seen. I tend to disappear when the weather is nice, and then come back when I cant get outside. So perhaps my view on this is a bit off. All of a sudden there was a big crackdown. It seemed to be primarly in responce to highmike, and spooky. To be honest, I just set highmike to ignore, and that seemed to help. As for spooky, there was no need to set him to ignore, but I have a feeling that he pushed for this. As I said, its just speculation, but just a day or two after I had talked to him in the chat, it happened. That would be a shame. He had his own site to mold in his image, and this place had a life of its own. Plus, once a major crack down takes place, it tends to stifle people. Also a shame, cause on or off topic, it was damn funny.

This is a good point. There are no specific rules for this forum, but people get banned for breaking them - without warning as far as I am aware.
