Particularly when I'm saying goodbye to them forever because I'm through with their bullshit, I give them a hard and passionate kiss alla' Michael Corleone. Then I take them fishing at a cold, deep lake.

Its the number one way people contract herpes.
if you have kanker soars you can blame aunt "so and so" for smooching you as a child. This is why 1/3 of the population has a form of herpes. Stop kissing people, especially children. Im sure the cheek is safe. |

I see most of my friends every day if not 4+ times a week. So the only friends who get hello/bye kisses are ones who i havent seen in a few weeks/ones visiting from out of town.
Family, i never kiss my sister and i rarely see her, kiss my older family (aunt/uncle/mom) every time no matter how often i see them and my brother because i see im maybe once a year. No one gets kisses on the lips aside from the bf. Seeing people kiss family on the lips grosses me out. |

Really it depends on the relative or friend. Guys generally the closest we get when saying hello or goodbye is a hug. Girls generally it's also a hug but closer friends or elders might get a peck on the cheek.

When I was younger, even up through high school, I was always directed to give aunts and uncles a kiss. I had an aunt I called Fish Lips because kissing her was always a messy affair....ick. I went through a no kissing phase, but have reverted back to the goodbye kiss when leaving (Fish Lips has since passed on).
With the goodbye kiss I generally do the cheek, but I kiss my bff on the lips. |
