I'll never call the cops. They are becoming militarized, overly aggressive & the government is getting to big to support it's self - so it needs to crack down on small issues and fine the hell out of everyone.

I can show you more than a couple of links of cops basically executing people in their own homes, after killing their pets.

I'll protect myself, thanks..

I'm in full agreement there. Decriminalization is a pipe dream anyway, because the pharmaceutical, alcohol and tobacco industries will never let it happen.

there now, I see progress! So, can we stay at the drawing board in the mean time?

And, Dave; what if they do work?

So, everybody, give up, there's no point, it's over.

If they do work, then refer to point #1: bring it to Camden, Compton, etc.

dude, you guys' gov't is so corrupt, you'd be way down the list. Near the top would prolly be Montana, Nevada, maybe Texas . . but, remember, your neighbors are looking to you for change. Think globally, act locally.

And what do you know about Compton?

Your point is that you want to alter police procedure. That's a federal change. It wouldn't be implemented gradually, it'd be a large, and largely uniform, change.

"Think globally, act locally," is just a slogan. You live in a large federal republic where local changes can become national changes.

If you feel this strategy can work in poor, urban areas then fine, advocate for it, but if not you need to look for different solutions, or secession.

But if you want change in your lifetime, and if you want said change to be positive, you must acknowledge the framework within which you're working. Without any focus on that framework your change either won't happen, or it won't be beneficial.
