exciting spectacular project management

this is actually targeted at the other developers/programmers around, but if anyone else has a suggestion..

i'm working on this app and i could really use a program to manage all my random thoughts/ideas/concepts as i think of them, and organize them in a logical way.

i usually keep it all in my head and spread over tons of stickies, notebook apps and physical paper pages.. but i feel like i'd work faster and more efficient if i were better organized.

i'm on mac & linux, but if there's a killer windows app, server software, or software as a service that'd be good too.

so far i've tried:
  • stickies
  • circus ponies
  • scrivener
  • redmine

I like VoodooPad (wrote up a review: Review: VoodooPad lite)

You can create wiki-like structures, so references to certain keywords will automatically turn into links that you can navigate along. You can also do fancy stuff like automatically creating pages with the date in the title (handy for taking notes in meetings) and it can all be exported as a webpage or to your iPhone.

very cool, i like the wiki idea, and iphone sync, although i need more control over inter document linking, and to be able to see the whole structure of a project.

i read your review of Things [link], one of the best apps i've every seen ever, so that at least solves half the problem.

now to try find an iphone compatible wiki.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the reviews...

Let me know what you end up going with! There's also evernote, yojimbo, journler etc., but I've never found something quite as flexible as VoodooPad. A purely web-based private wiki might also work, but it's not as fast to add stuff to as VPad.
