Fasting Against Stupidity

I am protesting stupidity by fasting for 48 hours. I encourage you to join me, it's probably good for you, and maybe we can find a cure(lol).

I will still have coffee(because I have work to do, dammit!) and water, just no food.

If you have never fasted before, it's not that hard for the short duration we are going for here. It's an experience everyone should have at least once in their lives, and you fatties could certainly stand to learn what being hungry feels like.

Why not eat? People aren't going to get smarter. Just because it's not hard to not eat doesn't mean we should all not eat.

Stupid is not having this on a list of experiences to try before you die. I've done it before, I reassure you that it is not as hard as you may believe, it was a beneficial experience, expanding personal physical experience and giving you a bit of perspective on the nature of suffering through starvation. It's an easy one to tick off the list.

Have some empathy, stop deflecting, grow some balls, maybe read some Thoreau, dummy. Don't be afraid of personal growth.

All the stupid people who honestly think it is stupid(and have never tried it, aka ignorance), please, post here! We can find a cure for you!

Why run for cancer? Running doesn't actually cure cancer. Why carry a protest sign at a rally? Why do anything at all?

Gandhi did it, do you think he was a stupid man?

It should be called the Mexican maid diet.

One person just doesn't run for cancer, unless they are famous and it demands media attention. The same as one person not eating on a forum will make no difference. Spooky's not eating-athon of 2010 will not make it to the news and will in turn not draw any attention to the incurable 'disease' of stupidity. This is dumb.

Yes, of course Gandhi was stupid. That's exactly what I meant.

Fast to fast, not for a stupid reason, if anything.

I might have tried it with some notice. The closest to fasting I have come was trying the master cleanse, and I didn't make it more than 3 days. You have to be ready to fast. maybe next year I can be more prepared.

I'm in. I've done it before and it holds no fear. If you get a coffee pass can I have tea?

Also, can we make it over a weekend because my job is a stressful fucknut which requires most cylinders firing?

Okay, Gandhi, go for it.

It's stupid for an obvious reason. If I have to spell that reason out, then you are stupid. But I believe you know why it is stupid, however you will do it anyway in spite of that.

You call me stupid, I did not call you stupid. I called your intended action stupid. Think of me as stupid all you want, it doesn't matter to me.

I didn't call you stupid, what are you talking about?

I didn't even directly reply to you,(let me spell this out for you, as you missed the obvious) I made a statement at the forums in general who may have similar thoughts in response to this thread. That's why I was specific in not quoting you but I did quote the next guy, see how that works?

Thanks for posting, I'm pulling for you now!

Like a dog lying in a corner
They will bite you and never warn you
Look out! They'll tear your insides out
'Cause everybody hates a tourist
Especially one who thinks
It's all such a laugh
...
You will never understand
How it feels to live your life
With no meaning or control
And with nowhere left to go
...
But still you'll never get it right
'Cause when you're laid in bed at night
Watching roaches climb the wall
If you called your dad he could stop it all
