The 10th what...Doctor? We're already on to the 11th. Amendment? Again, we're already on to the 27th. The commerce may not be your local PTA but they have more authority to suck my dick than they have to change shit in this country or any other. We gamble online every day by giving our opinions on shit. Adding our financial situations to the mix don't change shit.

It uses a P2P cryptocurreny called Bitcoin, which is itself pretty awesome for low-cost, quick, anonymous transactions.

I'm only interested in the technical side (I'm not involved), but I'd be interested in the Poker aficionado's perspective.

It's free to play, but the client looks a little dorkier than the normal ones to me.
Free poker isn't good. It's a game of decisions, and almost everybody needs to have some incentive to try and make correct decisions in the game. Otherwise it very quickly devolves into "I only need 1 more card for a straight, what the hell it's free" Which just makes the game terrible. If some drunk guy does this with real money, you know you'll at least get compensated, so again the money aspect is there to give you incentive to play these idiots.

I've played a bunch of free poker games, and the game quality can best be described as utterly retarded. Consequently, the strategy to beat them is also super-retarded and doesn't really make for a fun game.

+1

When I started out I made 500K in play money on some free site, thought I was a poker god. Played for real $10-$100 deposit at a time, and lost 1K. The free games are very different from real money.

After seeing your post I read up on Bitcoins...that's actually kinda interesting, really.

Yeah, I initially thought it was one of the countless fake currencies (Zynga, SL, etc). This actually does sound cool.

If KATG people want a game, I'd get in eventually (when I have disposable income).

btw, there are a bunch of exchanges, which might make for good summer time wasted trying to trade/arb this.

For people as clueless as I am about this, this seems to be a decent in-depth intro: YouTube - Security Now 287: BitCoin CryptoCurrency
