Wow, after the end of that Chile-Spain game, I'm convinced soccer is the most boring sport in the universe.

If you didn't enjoy that, you'll never like football.

I suppose there weren't many proper scoring chances, but both teams passed really well at times. Red card kind of killed Chile off a bit.

"The end" of that Spain Chile game was shithouse. The last 12 minutes the two teams stopped playing while Spain's back four played passes at 0.2 mph. That's what Flux was talking about.

But the start of it was great. Villa's goal was both comical and well taken and Chile were carving open Spain's defence and should really have scored at least once in the first fifteen minutes. The red card really did fuck them.

Brazil were toothless without Elano, Robinho and Kaka this morning. The kid Nilmar was the only one with any creative ideas but he didn't have any support. Most of the game was just the two rival teams kicking shit out of each other.

Two every three matches. I'm still not convinced the ball touched Reid on the way to Smeltz for the goal against Italy. It certainly didn't deviate its path.

But yeah ... if only. When the central midfield we had our guys up front were always going to be starved of service and Smeltz is really the only dangerous finisher we have.

Looks like he legitimately tripped over his own feet.

Are you cynical bastards blind? Estrada's knee clearly knocks Torres' right boot across so that it catches on the back of his left leg and that's what trips him. Cleeeeeeeeearly. Why the hell else do you think Estrada also stumbles a little himself if there was no contact there?

It did seem like it might have been accidental but that doesn't stop it from being a foul. Spain were on the attack and Torres was moving into the penalty area so it was definitely a yellow card offense, and because Estrada was already on one yellow the second is what got him sent off.

There's been some pussy lame-ass diving at this tournament for sure, like the Italians against New Zealand, but this one of Torres isn't an example of it.
