Netflix is American, and our equivalent has an awful selection.

This is a great scifi movie that unfornutly no one I've talked to has heard anything about. I like that they did not over do it with the special effects and for once a movie that has the same actor playing multiple parts does not look bad.

WHats the next movie ?
It's funny. I've never stepped in this thread, but I watched this movie on Instant Watch just the other day. I liked it. It was kinda like those slow-paced sci-fi flicks of the 60's and 70's like 2001, Solaris, and THX-1187. You don't see too many of those type of films anymore because movie studios think that the attention spans of the average indie movie viewer probably can't take it.

Instead I'm going with another movie from the movie thread (that I havent seen), The Fall.
After finally watching the trailer, the fact that its produced by David Fincher and Spike Jonez boosts it to the top of my list.
Have at it!
Sweet, I forgot that movie was around, it never came out near me. I always thought that Tarsem Singh was probably a brilliant director, but Jennifer Lopez ruined it. His new movie Immortals looks pretty promising.

The Fall is a really great movie, I saw it somewhere around a year ago. It's beautifully done, the story that the guy tells is entertaining and all, but what's really captivating is the relationship they build together through the story telling moments.

Sad stuff towards the end. I'd probably give the movie a A, for AWESOME.

Just a quick initial impression, visually stunning. I would think any art director would have a hard time besting Tarsem. As far as story line and acting are concerned? Ho boy. I understood the plot and metaphor and all that jazz, it wasn't hard to follow, but a lot of the scenes with the little girl were just bad. It felt like they just kind of let her do her own thing and worked around her grasp of the english language. the other acting was pretty heavy handed at times. The main guy was ok though. All in all, C+ to B-, I'd need to watch it again.

Finished The Fall and it was a fun movie to watch. This seemed like a good old fashioned adventure with a bit of a story to it. THe move reminded me of Big Fish in the way it played out between reality and fantasy. THe only issue I had is the little girl seemed to skip in between knowing english and not knowing english, not a bad deal for a girl so young.
Definetly look forward to the Immortals, seems like a movie right up Tarsem Singh's alley for the visual side of things
