The Fall is a really great movie, I saw it somewhere around a year ago. It's beautifully done, the story that the guy tells is entertaining and all, but what's really captivating is the relationship they build together through the story telling moments.
Sad stuff towards the end. I'd probably give the movie a A, for AWESOME. |

Just a quick initial impression, visually stunning. I would think any art director would have a hard time besting Tarsem. As far as story line and acting are concerned? Ho boy. I understood the plot and metaphor and all that jazz, it wasn't hard to follow, but a lot of the scenes with the little girl were just bad. It felt like they just kind of let her do her own thing and worked around her grasp of the english language. the other acting was pretty heavy handed at times. The main guy was ok though. All in all, C+ to B-, I'd need to watch it again.

Finished The Fall and it was a fun movie to watch. This seemed like a good old fashioned adventure with a bit of a story to it. THe move reminded me of Big Fish in the way it played out between reality and fantasy. THe only issue I had is the little girl seemed to skip in between knowing english and not knowing english, not a bad deal for a girl so young.
Definetly look forward to the Immortals, seems like a movie right up Tarsem Singh's alley for the visual side of things |
