this looks like a good movie and one i have been waiting to see but i dont't think a movie with subtitles will work with a chat.

and the cove is a super depressing movie that make you want to just go hit a japanese man for what they allow (its not racist, my girlfriend is asian). granted we probably do some fucked up shit in america that is kept pretty much dont ask dont tell but dolphins are awesome and adorable.

When I watch a movie with friends online, I usually have it on one side of the screen (kinda small) and the messenger/chat on the other side. But yeah...trying to keep track of subtitles while typing/reading messages...that could be tough.

I still like this movie as a Film Club movie, if we decide against making it our chat-movie....technically if DWarrior chose this movie today, and we do our regular rotations, wouldn't the person DWarrior picks be picking the movie that'd land on Group Film Chat Day?

Has a film been selected? Should it be something goofy/campy so we can MST3K it? Standardman did a terrible tweet of wicker man. I havent seen it but it sounds absolutely horrible. I dont have netflix so are we going to find a movie and get it before sunday, or use a free live streaming website?

I had a wickerman marathon a couple of weeks ago. Saw the original from the 70s, which was pretty decent, then the new one which sucked. The story changes made some of the lines not make much sense.

I also saw Hanger, which might be better when drunk.

I really have no interest trying to chat and watch a movie at the same time. I thought this would be more of join the chat start the movie, then once the movie is finished we chat.

I would be interested in chatting during a movie only in the scenario that it's a movie we have all seen, or in the case that its a "it's so bad it's kind of good" kind of film.

I don't know, I take film very seriously and can't handle discrations, to each their own, I just hope people hang around to chat about the movie post credits.

i hate movies people watch for ironic reasons (i.e. Troll 2). it has to be fun to watch, not just shitty. a perfect example of this is Skyline. it was horrible and fun to make fun of but is still a fun to watch movie

I typically aggree with you, I was only citing a "Its only good cause its bad" kind of film cause that would be the only movie I could care to not pay 100% attention to.

I say we just watch dogtooth, have 1 pre-set intermission to chat/pee at the half-way point and save the chat for when the movie is finished.
