Free music AND supporting a listener!
Hey guys!
Some of you know me, some of you don't, Those who do, know i'm a musician "singing for my supper" and working a shit day job to keep things going. I've posted in the KATG musicians thread a couple times with my tunes, but i figured i'd give it it's own thread just to see what happens. Last week I released my newest EP "Then Came The Sun" and it's been doing pretty well, but I'm trying to expand my audience and hear what people think! It's available at a pay what you want price. If you like it, it would be awesome to throw some bones my way. Any donations go to funding my first tour across the US. Link is below. Take a listen and let me know what you think. Thanks guys! Peace, love, and KATG! Trainwreck In Sarasota

I'm just going to toss this up here, cause it's relevant and shit.
I've heard this EP about 10 times already and I fucking LOVE it. I'm usually a hard rock/metal kinda guy, with some tendencies to loving more pop, folk, R&B, rap, etc as it hits me but I love your music. People need to take an honest listen. I've always found the forums as a good place to get a pretty good bit of constructive criticism and if history shows, you'll know what criticism to ignore and what to pay attn to. Best of luck to you and hope people will choose to pay for this. It definitely took some work to get it done and out and it's worth the $$ |

Very nice vocals and I love the whole, "This is me, this is what I wanna do, gimme a chance man!" Perfect way to start the EP.
Your different voicing of the chords are awesome - really impressed dude. Still yet to listen to the other 2 songs but I'm sold. Hope it all goes well! |

Very nice Rob, you definitely got some chops. I like the chord phrasings a lot too, some pretty drone notes hanging out in there, especially in William Senior.
Have you thought about making some live videos to spread your tendrils in the YouTubes? I don't mean edited music vids per se I just mean simple performances like you on the back porch or out in a pretty field in the afternoon Tulsa sun or something. Video's the way of the future and there's a bunch of communities on the YT you can tap into. |

I have a few tunes on YouTube. Mostly covers, but i have a few originals on there too. I haven't posted anything new lately, but i'm gonna up my game with that here in a little bit. I enjoy quite a few youtube artists (Mike Falzone, Julia Nunes) and it's something that I am going to pursue, i think. I don't necessarily want to be labeled a "YouTube musician" but hey, it couldn't hurt! youtube.com/trainwreckinsarasota Last edited by guitarrob; 08-01-2012 at 12:24 PM. Reason: forgot link |
