Eagles of Death Metal is another QOTSA off shoot. There's something about this song. It completely encapsulates that moment you fall for someone. Like, super hard. I don't believe in monogamy, but I understand the feelings leading up to it.
It's pretty amazing. That feeling. This song nails it. |

Whoa. Not only is the original drummer, (Tim Alexander - the guy who made the first 4+ albums so insanely good) returning to go on tour; the band recorded a new album! Of more interest is the 5 golden tickets being placed in vinyl.
It's an interesting promotion, (life long Primus tickets? SERIOUSLY?!) and one that is definitely motivating this idiot to shell out the $29-39 for vinyl. Goddamn new vinyl is super expensive. The tour starts next month and already a bunch of shows are sold out. The original line-up!!! If you're a Primus fan; this is big time. Also, if you're a douche living in Nowhere, Montana chances are you are sad and missing it. |

bw81, that Disperse - Message from Atlantis - is an insanely impressive track. Not only the layer of music; but the video as well. Makes me wonder if old ass dudes like myself, (who remember when music videos/ MTV actually mattered.
' Ah wells. |

Older heads might know the weird glory that is: WEEN. But few know that the now defunct guitarist and singer Dean and Gene Ween had a third member: MEAN WEEN.
Mean Ween is the Ween guitarist and shit head/ white trash Mean Ween aka Moist Boyz... |

I had my rap/hip-hop phase in high school and although I still enjoy a bit of late 80's early 90's Wu-Tang, Onyx, Gravediggaz, House of Pain, Naughty By Nature... I am bored with it. And I've tried some of the new breed but their lyrics are woeful in my opinion and the music... case in point; play that Nas track and skip every 15 seconds and its the same tune over and over and over and over with no variance at all. I love a good beat - especially the jazzy, cool bass line stuff with a simple beat (Who's The Man? by House Of Pain).
My love for prog & metal is because of how different things are and how they throw new riffs, time signatures and feels at you within the same song. And with that here are some of my favorite hip hop 'jams?': House of Pain with Who's The Man? Naughty By Nature with It's On Onyx with All We Got Iz Us Gravediggaz with Diary Of A Madman (with RZA from Wu-Tang)

fuck music. fuck you. go fuck yourself. fuck your perception of music.
fuck your class. fuck your lack of class. fuck the amount of times a beat hits your ear drum. fuck your tinnitus. fuck a sound you identify with. fuck who you are and what you imagine yourself to be. fuck your genre. fuck your time period. but above all: fuck you. |
