Get a Diaspora Invite
Remember Facebook and Twitter? well now there's Diaspora.
Open source, privacy conscious, distributed social network. They're in alpha(very early prototype phase) so maybe don't put anything too confidential on it yet. But if you want an invite I have 4 left just pm me. Share invites, talk about the project, etc. annnnnd go read more here: https://joindiaspora.com/ |

And since it's privacy-conscious, it won't get a foot in the door like scumbags of LinkedIn (I don't understand why anybody would use that scumfuck site considering they just fucking scour the web for you and force you to have a profile). |

you don't have to install anything.
it's like imagine if you could use facebook.com, but if you don't want your content to be hosted/controlled by facebook.com you have the option of running your own facebook on your own website/computer or joining one your friend or some other company set up, but that lets you still talk to anyone on facebook.com or anyone else running their own, and move your data back and forth. if, and it's a big IF Diaspora starts getting traction, the only way facebook/twitter will be able to compete is by letting you message your friends on Twitter from Facebook and visa versa as an intrinsic part of those sites. so it's more about the potential for walls being broken down and cultural shifts, and it being more optional where you actually host your data - who can see and access it. again big IF diaspora get's enough traction and Facebook doesn't play ball and keeps their doors closed and user's locked in they'll just become the next myspace. the Diaspora code is open source now.. so think Firefox vs. IE.

All I read in that quote is (imagine said in the most ignorant accent of your choice) "I hates me that nigger in the oval office, call it the white house for a reason.
Grow up. Man up. Quit being a party poopin bitch plus katg.com/forums = a social network what happs if you sign up with diaspora but you don't have a facebook or myspace? Why would you want to connect those two sites anyway, so your old high school friends can see the children you're trying to rape? |
