Sad news, I just thought I would link it because it is kind of topical with the show. Currently in critical condition according to the link.

"It was an accidental overdose, and he is in critical condition..."

How does one accidentally overdose on prescription pills? Does one think, "Oh, a handful isn't enough. Tonight I go for two handfuls!"

I think calling it accidental just means it wasn't a suicide attempt, but rather an attempt to get fucked up.

I get that, but putting that much crap in your system at once says something, doesn't it?

not necessarily. especially with someone who may have been relapsing...he may simply have taken a dose that his body once was able to handle, but having been clean so long he lost his tolerance. if i took a handful of vicodin, i'd probably die. some people can take a handful of vicodin for breakfast, wash it down with a 40 and snort a line before work with no problem.

...or whatever it might have been. i like vicodin, so that is my example. :P
