The news 'copters shouldn't be up there for every car chase, just to fulfil TV viewers' voyeuristic needs.

The TV news channels should be held criminally liable.

I live here and its been non-stop news coverage obviously. My office is 3 blocks from this park.

The shock factor is still very fresh. The 2 different channels pilots and cameramen all worked for other stations here locally at some time or another. Half of the covereage has been about the emotional impact on the community overall. The FDP & PD all have ties to these guys too. It's not everyday you see a 6:00pm news anchor break into tears even though it wasn't his station that was directly impacted.

These guys were all friends as all of the copters were housed in the same airpark.

So when the chief says this guy might be brought up on charges for the crash, we all know he's talking out of emotion. The guy that they were chasing is mental and probably won't face any charges at all.

Like any tragedy... the anger, disbelief, and emotion have to run their course. Things will be said to that effect. Take it with a grain of salt and don't get your panties in a wad. Jebuz.
