I listen to a gaming podcast called the CAGcast and they lost to Keith and the Girl in one of those bullshit ad driven podcast awards. (the one where KATG won by an obscene number of votes) I decided to check it out as I was looking for more stuff to listen too... and the rest is history.

Back before I even knew what a podcast was, I listened to a show called SpikeandRaychul since I half knew one of the host. They had KATG listed under the "podcast we like" thingy and Spike mentioned KATG at times as a show listeners should check out. KATG was in the 100's episode wise back then and I've been listening ever since.

I found KATG about a year and a half ago while searching for comedy podcasts through iTunes. I think the KATG logo is what interested me at first, then, BAM!

I am sort of the combination of "Podcast Directory" and "Heard it on another show".

I was voting for Free Talk Live a few years back on the Podcast Awards. They were discussing the contest and mentioned some of the notable podcasts from other categories, one of which was KATG.

I was looking for comedy stuff on Podcast Alley. First I tried The Dawn and Drew Show, and thought "wow, comedy podcasts are shit." About a week later I thought maybe I should try one of the others, just in case. Lucky for me that I did.

Podcast alley way back around episode 40 in early summer of '05. First ones I remember were the interview with DJQuad and the America song guy. Hooked ever since. Was listening live at show 100. Won the first poker tourny. Been to April 15th twice. Got a tattoo. Then the DC show. Even got a magic trick for my birthday from Max. Still kicking myself for missing the cruise. Met some amazing people. Amazing ride considering it all started by downloading the top 5 podcasts and quickly realizing they were all shit with one notable exception.

15 Podcasts That Will Make You Smarter

I found out about them from a list of podcasts entitled "15 Podcasts That Will Make You Smarter". They were featured with podcasts like This American Life, EconTalk, and Ted Talks. Amazing!

I found them on Itune while looking through the comedy section. The first episode I heard was the one where Keith raged about attempting to buy a mixer from Best Buy.
