Hi
Found a favourable review in a directory and thought fuck it lets try yet another podcast...the first one I listened to was The Human Centipede 2
waaaay back in number 1477 (or 3 weeks ago) and yep pretty much hooked like everyone else...the world of New York and even the USA is so far removed from my tiny existence but I find I get pissed off with the same kinda people with the same kinda issues...so yeah I can relate in a way. Soon to be VIP...I mean all those previous episodes and Chemda's Whats MY Name..its a drug now... Keep well everyone. ps...does a robot check this?...i bet a robot could check this... |

Oh, I liked Laura, she and Micah really knew their stuff. Andrew was (is) a whiney little thing, I never liked him. He has now started some other podcast but I think it is more geared towards teeny boppers.

Mugglecast is also how I first heard about Keith and the Girl, I think I checked them out when Andrew from Mugglecast mentioned seeing that KATG had something going on in Vegas, and their statements were bashed in the episode Harry Pooter
In Mugglecast's quick defense most of them were all 15-17 at the time (meaning they aren't the freaky adult Harry Potter fans that freak Keith out) but w/e I'm a loser fangirl who still listens to them and their other podcast but anyway the first episode I listened to was the first one Myq and Myka were together on as a couple and many things were discussed from how to not be an asshole vegetarian to a waiter to whether or not Chemda was molested as a child and what Keith should do with the name of her past babysitter I didn't know there was suppose to be a prayer at the beginning of the show because I'd sampled some of the 74 hour marathon episodes before that, so I was confused when I listened to my second full episode (It had Spooky and Matt Bray) and it also started with a prayer and then later Keith said "Of course you all know our show starts with a prayer because we all believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" That caught me off guard but then it was obviously sarcastic because they went into how much they liked the movie Religilous (sp? the movie with Bill Mahr) I've been hooked ever since and I've been through the backlogs twice, and now for fun when I'm working out or doing chores I go into my handy dandy VIP feed pick a number and download ever episode that ends with that number to get a feel for how the show evolves (#98 right now) Yeah I'm a loser >.> but a loser in a good way |

I love it that so many D&D and Mugglecast peeps ended up on board the KATG train with the rest of us reprobates. Makes me wish KATG had drama with other podcasts more often.
I mean other podcasts with listeners of course, so Comical Radio hardly counts. |

I found KATG online (probably through Google).
A couple of years ago, I was working a local delivery job, which got extremely boring at times. After learning the lyrics to all the mind-numbing FM music, I searched the web for something more stimulating to listen to during my monotonous daily drives, and I found two things: independent music & Keith and The Girl. I no longer have that job, but I am still an avid KATG fan and listen to every single show! In fact, over the summer, I took an extensive road trip out West, and I raided the KATV archives to keep me company. I nearly ran off the road several times due to excessive laughter/hyperventilation, but Keith & Chemda kept me awake for many miles as well; I guess you could say KATG tried to kill me AND save my life! (Don’t worry, I have learned to control my laughter!) Listening to Keith and Chemda has really helped me through a difficult time this past year. It is amazing how – just listening to this show – I feel like Keith & Chemda are my closest friends. Being from “flyover country”, I had a conservative upbringing, but now that I am old enough to think for myself, virtually none of my friends or acquaintances agrees with my personal philosophy (at least not openly). I do not consider myself a flaming liberal by any means, so I am shocked that I agree so much with a couple of New Yorkers (I agree with Keith 91% of the time, and Chemda 99%). I historically have not been a fan of stand-up comedy, so in the beginning, I was a bit apprehensive about listening to KATG – a show co-hosted by a stand-up comic. I believe that the first show I heard featured Patrice. Needless to say, I was hooked! After downloading an episode and hearing the prayer, I was a bit confused, but quickly realized what was going on and came to look forward to the prayer each day. As a nonreligious Christian, I never found the prayer – no matter how irreverent – offensive; in fact, I am disappointed to see it gone. Keith’s “oh sh!t! is this thing on?” intro is funny in its own way as well, though I doubt it will last… How has Keith and the Girl influenced my life? L’Chaim says it all: to life! KATG has taught me invaluable life lessons, from interacting with other people to dating to balancing fun and responsibility as a young adult. A fairly reserved individual, through listening to the infinite hours of Keith and Chemda chatting and interviewing guests, I have learned how to better interact with people on a more real and personal level without seeming creepy (I HATE small-talk). Keith and Chemda have given more relationship advice than I could possibly list – so much in fact, they wrote a book on it! With each new show, I better understand people and have learned to not judge others as harshly as I would have in the past (and I now realize how balanced I am compared to many comics ). KATG has also taught me to be a more open, open-minded and understanding person, especially after hearing Lauren discussing being transgendered in show #1316: More Than Meets the Eye. My whole life, I have been taught by my mentors and local society that people of other backgrounds, beliefs, political parties, sexual orientations, etc… are nothing but depraved, lost causes who should be avoided. Keith and Chemda have opened my eyes to how terribly wrong that way of thinking is. Perhaps the episode that has influenced me most is episode #1356: Well Enough, where Lucas explains his depression. At the time, I could relate to his situation, and following that show I began to make serious changes in my life to deal with my own depression. I am happy to say that I now have a new outlook on life, and though I still have bad days, they pass, each day is a fresh start, and nothing is as bad as it seems. After spending some time in college, I realized I hated myself for working toward an average, miserable cubicle life only to struggle to achieve the lie that is the stereotypical American Dream: a new $60k car, my own McMansion, and a trophy wife with 2.5 kids. Thanks-in-part to KATG, I had the courage to break the mold and pursue my childhood dream of driving a truck for a living. I recently obtained my CDL (a feat not nearly as easy as I expected), and I am well on my way to delivering goods all across the great US-of-A! When I get my first paycheck, the first thing I’m going to do is become a KATG VIP member so I can listen to every single archived show while I am on the road! Thank you Keith and Chemda for continuing to produce this premium-quality show daily, and thanks to all the Keith and The Girlers who continue to support and make this show a success. L’Chaim, Drew |
