How Did You Discover KATG?

I hate re-reading books or re-watching movies. I figured I'd hate re-listening to Podcasts, too. I have a really good memory and once I've listened to something, I can usually replay the entire thing in my head.

I saw them at the number one spot on podcast alley. Skipped over them the first time because the name gave me a conservative impression. Finally gave them a shot. Thought my conservative prediction was spot on when the show started with a prayer. Fought through it, had to give them a fair shake I thought to myself. Next was, "listen all of you a$$holes..." oh sh!t, they are talking to me! Loved the show that day and listen everyday m-f and a ton of back episodes. Hooked like a mofo.

Random side note. Did anyone else have issues with listening live on the iPhone app today? This was my first try today and it was a fail.

Seems Mugglecast brought quite a few over, and thats just the ones that post here.

Wow i used to listen to mugglecast too maybe we should start a support group. Although i actually found this show because of my other fav podcast the distorted view show tim henson used to talk about how good the show was and between distorted view and katg they always won podcast of the year so im sure there is some crossover from that podcast too not just mugglecast although i guess it is a weird coincidence.

Fuck, I don't even really remember.

I started listening hard-core after PK&J folded.

I remember the prayer bit turning me off the first time I listened, around ep. 100.

I'm glad I came back.

As slightly embarrassing as it is, I owe listening to KATG from, of ALL people, Chris Crocker.

I was QUITE behind the times on the whole "Leave Britney Alone!" business. Sometime in around mid may 2008, I decided to look it up on YouTube. Well as soon as I done, I saw this link saying RE "Leave Britney Alone". And the user name was KeithandTheGirl. This piqued my curiosity seeing as: 1. dude had my name, and 2. I wanted to see what people had to say about this queen. After getting more of a wtf moment, I went over to the site a few times. At one point I even listened to a bit of the live feed, which turned out to be show 724, Brother Love's Mother. Quite frankly, I'm surprised i kept listening, the show confused the shit out of me. I thought it was Keith's mom who was dead for like a month. Though i almost stopped listening right there, I Decided that if I was going to even try to like it, I would need to give it time.

I'm glad I did

On Martin Sargents old show Infected on Revision3, they came on a few weeks after Dawn and drew were guests on it, I thought D&D were horribly annoying and back then they said that if Dawn and Drew were number one they knew they could do a better job,

I downloaded the latest episode of both of them,

turned off D&D about 10 minutes into it (My god that bitch was annoying)

And been listening to KATG ever since.

What ever happend to Dawn and Drew, last I heard of them Podshow gave them the boot and they ran out of money for pills.

I Got in around the middle of the whole Podshow/mevio saga, good times.

Went on a road trip with my brothers the summer of '07, listened to a few episodes along the way (it was a monster of a road trip) that my older brother had on his ipod. Listened routinely after that, the show really helped me get thru the last boring year of undergrad.

I too jumped ship from Mugglecast to KATG. The day I unsubscribed from Mugglecast and continued with Keithandthegirl was the day I became a woman!
