How do i kick out my roommate?

I had a sister die of diabetes. Now to be fair, that picture MIGHT have been culled from the 'net. I'm going to assume for the moment that it wasn't and that Jesi took that picture from her roommate's bedroom.

First, the needle in the pic is far too big for insulin. I also might be wrong since Stephanie passed away 2 years ago but I don't think insulin comes in a powder form that you have to burn in foil so the foil with the black seared smudge spot doesn't make since for diabetes use. ALSO, as far as I remember insulin needs to be kept cold so if there's no insulin bottles in the fridge, I'm curious as to where she's keeping them.

I get what Spooky is doing. This other girl's side of the story isn't being told. Since no side of any story is unbiased, it might help to get the other side before we advocate turning this girl's life upside down.

I don't believe Jesi is lying or exaggerating but it IS good to get all sides of a story (and maybe growing up) before advocating property destruction, attempted murder or ruining her life.

Based on what I've heard thus far, I have to say that as much as jesi wants HER to go and Jesi wants to stay, I think being the one to move out is the best route. This way the junkie roommate doesn't know where to find you. Let the landlord in on what you can prove and let him know that you will no longer be living there. Pay whatever penalty or fee there is for breaking the lease early and be on your merry. Leave her to her junkie life and if it's going to be ruined, let her do it to herself.

I'd be interested in hearing Keith or Chemda chime in. I know they've got experience living with junkies in the past and I wonder what their advice would be about the situation.

speakin as someone who has met this girl her story is irrelevant shes umm extremely umm special? Also that is an insilin needle.It is what is used for mainlining. 1cc 27-9g needles. unless your doin IM injections.

Reviewing the pic you're right. I was thrown by the size and assumed the tin was bigger than it is. Well, that being an insulin needle, it makes those cut up straws a little more suspicious, no? Perhaps she snorts her insulin? OR perhaps, as you pointed out, she's extremely "special".

I was going through her room to find things of mine that she stole. I think that's fair. If not, oh well.

All three of us are on the lease. I called the landlord and having her listed first means nothing. So the "primary lease holder" thing I mentioned before, scratch that.

I'm not trying to get someone kicked out of "their own" apartment so I can have it to myself. I'm trying to get a drug using cunt out of MY apartment so i don't have to put up with her bullshit anymore.

Exactly. It has been mentioned, but there would also be a sharps bin for disposing of needles. A monitor, a blood tester. Insulin somewhere, most likely in the fridge.

I've had friends with diabetes. They've taken their health very seriously.

Also, if you don't have a job or insurance, insulin costs about $150-200 a month.

You don't keep your needles in your fucking drug kit, #1, hands down, bottom line.

Why should I have to move? I am on the lease too? It is just as much MY home? Why do I have to leave just because SHE started using hard drugs and decided to be an all around shitty person?

If you do something to get her evicted or arrested it could be worse on the other end. Do you really want a delusional druggy knowing where you live and having a grudge to settle with you.

Even though she hasn't earned it, or done anything to deserve it, it's better to treat people good anyways. I'd wait until the week after rent to leave so she has a few weeks to find a new person to share the rent with.

i understand all this, and you are probably right. i don't want this person having access to my home at all at this point. It is probably going to take a few weeks to find a place and actually move, in the meantime... ugh. It's just stressful.




Also, if anyone is willing to call her mother and ask her where she keeps her insulin because you think she is going into diabetic shock, let me know!

This is a fucked up enough situation between her and her mother. I'd stay way away from it. It's also possible her mother may react badly to you as you are the messenger.
