Fun or not fun at all fact:
Normal work weeks are fun for me, when I’m allowed out. Time flies by, I love traveling and talking to people. I’m an extrovert who is charming in person. I can make mostly any German stranger laugh! Keith! People get my jokes! I love eating something else for lunch everyday. I love my life. Now, everything is different. It’s Tuesday and it’s feels like 20 days had passed, not 2. Because I make the best of this situation ( using this time to get more experience in other stuff) I volunteered to work 50% for our legal and compliance department ( law is what I did my education in) in addition to remote calls with customers. So instead of fun Apia it’s law Apia now. I review our new SOPs. Yey! And I know I’m lucky. I have my job and I’m getting more connections in out huge company ( worldwide the company has over 100 000 employees so it’s big pharma for real) So it’s very good for me in the long run. Still. I used to be fun. Last edited by Apia resurrected; 11-10-2020 at 12:20 PM. |

Lockdown Blues
We’re back in lockdown too, it sucks, last one was genuinely a break for me but I started my own business last year and COVID has killed it. I’ve got a P/T job and have started to apply for full time hours until this all blows over.
Got the bin fire of Brexit to look forward to next, then the rich of our country can really start to kill us all off😩 |

Makes my heart sing
After years of absence from the forums, I decided to pop back in, as Vancouver is going back into lockdown and I found myself feeling pretty lonely.
I started to read through this thread and my shrivelled up, black heart felt a beat. Seeing the support KATG community has for each other. How the forums give community members a place to rant, to vent, to share and to seek love. Seeing familiar faces and names... I love all of this. I grew up with KATG. KATG basically raised me from the age of 16 onwards. And now, so many years later, it's still here to entertain, guide and provide comfort. I'm sorry to everyone who is suffering. Sending love to all of you.

My work continues to be not as fun as normal but I’m still good in it I guess. But it doesn’t feel as good as normal.
I miss the interaction with people and being physically somewhere else. The food not made by myself. I don’t even have appetite anymore. I eat when I really feel hungry and it annoys me, otherwise I’m not interested. I told you that my favorite co worker quit. I do the job interviews for my team together with my supervisor and yesterday we did the first one on MS teams for the replacement. It went well, interesting what is normal to us now. My favorite co-worker got laid off. I haven't seen him since March and it really hurt. It hurt to feel grateful that I still had a job in that moment. We aren't in a lockdown here, there are certain cities within the state that are "locking down" but I don't know how real or useful that is when there is no federal mandate and no real laws or cooperation across the board. Thanksgiving is next week and between the gatherings and the shopping, I am worried for the state of this nation's health. The dishes never end, I'm tired of the cycle of making/eating/cleaning. I have a dishwasher and I'm still sick of it all... it's a helpful tool that I don't have to clean each thing by hand but it's still loading, unloading, and the inevitable of re-washing of tings that didn't get washed properly somehow. Fuck it, I'm getting takeout tonight, there's something to look forward to. |

Same, we are getting Asian food and we even get to feel good about it, as we are supporting local restaurants. That’s what I tell myself.

Im glad I bought a mountain bike in March, I’m using it pretty often. When I have a 30 minute break I ride it some hill up and down and listen to music.
It’s pretty relaxing and I see some outside. When I have 10 minutes I run our stairs up and down. So at least I get enough movement or I would feel much worse. Till now, no depression. November is a dangerous month for it, but I’m only annoyed not depressed. So that’s something. |
