The BIKER thread
My dad calls you guys the "weekend hells" meaning the office dudes who get dolled up to look like Hells Angels from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.
Anyway, you needed a thread to brag about your bikes, discuss your rides, meet ups.....you know...biker stuff. |

I would hardly consider myself "hell". I guess down here we refer to them as "weekend warriors".
I'm essentially part of the lamest sect of motorcycle riders (above scooters, that is). I am very strictly "all the gear, all the time" (meaning I wear full protective gloves, helmet, jacket, boots, and long pants at a minimum), and my motorcycle isn't much more than an overgrown dirtbike. It's very quiet, speedy when I need it to be, and I can take it off road, but rarely do. The nice thing about the motorcycle community is that as long as you're on two wheels, you're welcome. I've ridden along side and randomly chatted with people riding all sorts of bikes, from Hayabusas to Harleys.

Nope. That mesh doesn't look cool. It usually comes in obnoxious colors too like tennis ball yellow or orange.
Nothing about the weekend. I rode every day this week. To and fro. Put on 3500 or so miles this year so far. Jeans and boots and fingerless gloves are the only things that remain the same. Sometimes my leather jacket if it's not too hot. I put on fingered gloves if it gets below 45 degrees. |

Remember that whole living outside my comfort zone in the BvG thread?
I was thinking about doing sexiest member this year ir whatever that contest is. Especially since I'm down about 30 lbs now. Helmet, Flux? I have one but only when I leave the state. As I write this I realize you must. I had to stop at the NY border to put mine on. |
