How do you watch online TV in heathen countries like AU?

Has anyone been able to, living outside of the US, watch streaming things online like Netflix, HULU, ABC, FOX, NBC, etc? I am out of the country again and can't watch anything, I always get a message like "TV is only for Americans living within the US, blah blah blah"

I can't figure it out, and surely there's some way the internet is useful outside the US? Right?

Help me!!!!

I tried watching gossip girl at the cw website and a message said it was unavailable in my country. I have no idea how to watch something if it`s blocked. The fucked up thing is that sometimes youtube blocks some videos too, one time I tried watching a carole king video and it said it wasn`t available in my country.

get a fake US ip - I use Hotspot Shield Hotspot Shield by AnchorFree
This is working but often the conection speed is very very low so that is annoying

I usually just stream the TV shows using link sites like SideReel or Megastic.com

sidereel just redirects to the video feed of the original site, so its still blocked for anyone outside the US.

megastic seems to work fine, though!

i will try out hotspot shield later today!

If any of the other solutions don't work for you, and you don't mind a monthly fee, you could use https://secure-tunnel.com/. Either their Webtunnel SSH or VPN Premium will give you a US IP.

sidereel lists the *legal* links first but if you click on "search for results" under the episode you will get additional links as well.

If you use megastic try following the links to "supernovatube" these are usually very good quality.

Have fun in Australia

Try Surfthechannel.com
Sidereel usually links to megavideo but the links for the non-network sites come down after a few days.

Sorry Spooky but you have to break the law. The streaming sites are good but they often don't work or are subtitled into various languages. I use torrents most of the time.
Megavideo is alright but you can only watch 75mins at a time.

Also keep in mind that your internet will probably be speed capped after a certain amount of Gbs depending on the plan you have.

There are a lot of awesome things about Australia, television is not one of them.

My only luck (as I don't torrent) is youtube.
It's a pain in the ass.
