I love seeing old people fumble around with technology. Especially when they spend billions in the process because of what kids do.
Nintendo doesn't even own Pokemon. The Pokemon Company owns the IP, GameFreak makes most of the games and Nintendo just publishes them on their handhelds. Probably paid The Pokemon for exclusive rights to do so.

Niantic made another game years ago, about walking around and claiming spots, TPC went to them and had them throw pictures of Pikachus into a game they already made and repackage it
