Ohhh I see he was just talking about the price difference for the laptop. Why would you buy it in NZ anyway? You should be able to get it at the US price online. Oh and yes I know our dollar fails. It actually surprised me that it was valued higher then the NZ dollar. Oh and only old people start sentences with "I remeber when..." Ooooooooh snaaaaaaaaaap!!! ![]() |

240 across the board?? Why? We have 110 and 220 but only use the 220 for tings like dryers, portable welders and such. Interesting.

Single phase 220 -240 volt for home everything, from toasters to dryers to coffee machine to tv's to power tools .etc 3 phase for industrial stuff There are a couple of industrial sites with 110 volts steel mills, smelters But this is to stop people stealing the drills saws and other power tools off the site |

Geez, I watch 2 eps of House MD, I play some Mario Galaxy and tony hawk. I get back here and they are still discussing the NZ vs US dollar
![]() Oh and shuddup about the macbook, it was an example I used. T-shirts, games, music, ipods, camera's. You name it and it'll be cheaper in the US. A national newspaper of the Netherlands recently had an article about Europeans going massive shopping in the US. The front page headline for that article was a picture of a dollar bill and beneath it the text 40% off. I lol'ed ![]() |
