I kinda like that term anyways. Well...I like 'em both. And fries...well...they don't "chip" when you bite into 'em. Whatever.
You'll notice as you study the differences between UK and US terms for things that the British terms tend to be a little more antiquated. That might come from them being 1000+ years older than us or stubborness but when you call a truck a carriage...it might be time to change a few terms around. |
