Funny because I was thinking the DIRECT opposite. You kinda sound defensive and "picked on" dude. There are online communities you can turn to (maybe not KATG_ if you have feelings you'd rather not have .

No joke, I think we figured it out.
"It's so easy to demonize pedophiles." Yes, Skeet, it is. Work hard fighting these feelings that you know are immoral, or it'll be too late and, yes, you will rightfully be demonized as well. |

You guys are an odd bunch. I ask what's going on, and people instantly jump to me either being abused as a child or a child abuser. Maybe if one of you genius armchair psychologists could back off the cliche internet attacks for 5 seconds, you could think about what I asked and give an interesting answer. For the record, I haven't been molested, I haven't molested anyone, I have no romantic feelings nor sexual urges toward kids/teens, I am an atheist, and I live a fairly comfortable life. Fuck me for being curious about the show, right? I guess I should have known better than to ask a question about a hot-button subject to the mostly dumb-as-shit forum participants.
xerxes: It's not confirmation bias. I attend/listen to/watch a ton of comedy shows, and KatG hits the subject most often by far. Whereas other shows will make a joke in passing or rehash an old beaten-to-death Katt Williams MJ joke, there are almost entire shows on KatG dedicated to child molestation. I just want to know why the subject is so prominent on this podcast. Hatch: While I don't think a lot of the coverage is done in the name of "comedy", maybe entertainment is the correct phrasing? I just don't understand why it comes up so much more on KatG than any other entertainment source I consume. Or maybe Keith just loves shocking Chemda with what he's capable of saying. Keith: The comments you've left are amazing. I don't know who you imagine I am, but you're acting like some bullies I used to know in high school. They were the ones that would pick on the shy kids and call them gay because they didn't want to shower after practice ("The faggot doesn't want to shower because he's too scared he'll see my dick and he'll get a boner!"). I don't get irked and ask questions about the show content because it sparks some kind of cognitive dissonance inside my (dick) head, it's because the content is legitimately nauseating and depressing. Overall--usually framed in a way that is not funny. Like when you hear a funny rape joke vs. an unfunny rape joke. These segments are so far away from being jokes, it's just a dude trying to make people uncomfortable. The kicker is, I'm not even *that* upset about anything. It's just something I've noticed and I made a discussion thread about it. |

You brought it up knowing that people would agree with you.
No one is agreeing with you. This means that something is going on in your head that isn't in anyone else's. Something to think about. |

"It's not just me that thinks this, right?" is not really a remark of superlative confidence. I was and still am open to the possibility that I'm just more sensitive to the subject (which I haven't yet been convinced of), but instead of thoughtful responses, I just got told that I'm a molester/molestee. The community that you've attracted and fostered on this forum is also something to think about.
