They don't get shot literally on the spot, they'd get taken back to the station or what-have-you - no need to traumatise onlookers with random shootings.

So I guess there would be a window of time in which to qualify a person as a retard/crazy etc.

I think we have some level of responsibility in society to care for those less fortunate than ourselves. Killing the desperate doesn't solve a problem. And desperate people can do desperate things.

I'm ok with the crazy/stupid and how they're handled under Keith's justice, but the desperate, and society's role in caring for them as opposed to those members of society that we can say absolutely have some sort of mental deficiency...that's where I get stuck, out of compassion.

(Incidentally, the reason for reigniting this debate is I somehow brought this up on a first date. So. Um. Yeah.)

I don't know any stats on this, but do retarded people generally have that many kids? Really you would need to kill their whole family, or maybe just their normal siblings cause their parents are probably done reproducing.

The point was that it be done on the spot.

I think that there are 2 different questions that are being answered by different people:

1) How would Keith's Justice apply in this situation?
2) How can we reconcile Keith's Justice with our current societal values?

Your initial questions sounded like #1 but it seems that you are looking for answers that deal with #2. Thus the conflicting opinions and statements since some are debating what would Keith’s Justice do, while others are debating how it should be applied.

Fuck me… I’m actually debating the nuances of this thread ... I need punched.

PS: did mentioning the topic get you a second date?

Dead desperate people can't do desperate things. That seems to solve the problem quite handily.

Again, I'm not talking about Keith's Justice, and again, I don't understand what sort of "compassion" there is to be had for murderous retard.

I think "on the spot" just meant straight away. No lock-up, no trial, same-day justice. Like when you get your photos developed "on the spot" but you still have to come back in an hour.

I think there's probably a question within a question of what I first asked - like how does Keith's Justice deal with the crazy/mentally challenged, which is a real argument about whether or not these people can be accountable for their actions - versus the desperate, which I guess is more an argument about society. I realise Keith's Justice wouldn't sympathise or make concessions for them.

Well, it didn't hurt my chances. But it made the first date a little more heated than I expected.

Loki's one of them: With Keith's Justice I would be killed in front of my children for leaving a wrapper on my desk.

Wha ya gonna do?

I'll tell you what: Keep living in a shitty world cause people are insane.

The first day my law went into affect I'd have Loki killed.

Heated can be good on a first date, but don't be too surprized if he now considers you an ultra right wing conservative and now feels he can open up to you about his hatred of Jews and Balcks.
