Thumbs up Let the Right Ones In

This movie was fantastic. Anyone else see it? I would love to have a spoiler heavy conversation about it.

To be honest I didn't think this movie was anything special the first hour (not bad, just nothing special) THEN this movie ends and you just have an urge to talk to people about it. Wow, check this movie out.

Even if your not a fan of horror this movie is so much more than what its exterior shows. My gf hates violence and horror but she loved this movie.

This is not a horror movie, this is a horrifiying love story. This is one of those festival films that got a LOT of buzz last year, and I was surprised to see it leaked on the internet so soon.

I watched it last year and I fucking L-O-V-E this movie, I think it's my favorite of 08. This movie is so fucking good, especially if you get the subtel story tingys that aren't so obvious on a first watch.

For the people who've seen the film (SPOILERS UP NEXT!):
So not only is the swimming pool scene fucking awesomely sick aces 10 ++++. Did you guys get who the fatherly figure was that was with the vampire in the beginning? Once upon a time he was that 12 year old boy that fell in love with the vampire and ran away with her. And when you get that, only then you realize what a sad future is waiting for the 12 year old kid when he's in the train with the vampire at the end.

Also, remember the vampire replying to the request of being the kids girlfriend? "I'm not a girl". We all thought she meant "I'm not a girl I'm a vampire". Well actually she meant "I'm not a girl, I'm a boy". Remember the very quick shot of the vagina? It looked kinda scarred but you couldn't quite make it out. Well in interviews the director told that it's actually not a girl, but a boy who has been molested and his dick was cut off and shit.

Such a great movie.

It didn't play in any theaters near me, so I'm waiting until DVD or if they play it on HBO.

It came out on DVD Tuesday.

I had no idea it was a vampire movie going in. I just knew it was Swedish and might have been in Black and White (it isn't, though sometimes it seems that way.)

Anyway, I think that might have helped a little, but it was shockingly awesome. The people who made Twilight would be ashamed of themselves if they weren't so busy counting your daughters' allowances.

Saw it last year (I love new york) and fucking adored it. I'd only read one review that told me it was, and i'm paraphrasin here "a kind of love story between two 12 years olds, oh yeah, and one's a vampire". "Sold!". the boyfriend loved it too but he wasnt so fond of the ending as cool as it was. I guess it was cliched.
