EDIT - Londoners who have more idea of travel/time than I do... how far in terms of time on the tube is Victoria coach station from Oxford Street?

Yes I am, this is more to get back to the station to go home, as I'm going to be in London from about 10/11AM anyway

well u'd have to get on the circle line, change for the central line and then you'd go to oxford st.

That seems easy enough. I'll see if I can scrape together some £££s to get a train back from St. Pancras instead which'd mean I could stick about till 8.

There is a single room at my place - well not much more than a closet really, but it has a single bed in it. If you can promise me you're not an axe-murdering psycho you can stay there. I'd be lying if I said it was in the area - but it is FREE

Thank you for the offer! I don't want to be a burden so I'll keep on looking for a good hostel/hotel but if nothing is forthcoming I might take you up on that.
