ok ..

1) Are you an Italian living in England? or an Englishman of Italian descent?

2) Have you heard the term "babysitter"? [/QUOTE]

1) I'm an Englishman of Italian descent, my Dad's Italian.
2) "babysitter" you say, thanks for the tip. I think the meet ups aren't gonna be appropriate for me at the minute. Would be good to get to know some people on-line though.

1) Nice - Italy is my favourite country of ALL time
2) hmmm - no babysitter possibilities then? That's a shame

You're on the right track - the best way to get to know people is just to post. If you have something to say, but aren't sure where to post it have a look for the Inane Chatter thread. There's a Beginners thread around here somewhere too - I'd link them for you if I wasn't so lazy, but hey I'm sure you'll manage

Thanks, I'll look out for those threads then. Still think it's a good idea to keep one open for UK listeners. Thanks for the help.

I'm away to London tomorrow morning at 10, so this'll be my last post in the thread for now I expect. I'll PM my mobile to you Jorjo if that's not a problem, just incase there are last minute changes to the plan?

If anyone has any obvious KATG merchandise and gets to the pub early please do wear it so it's obvious to the rest of us who you are

Hey, that reminds me, if the person who put a KATG sticker on a bus stop in south London (C____ Road, or something - on the 171 route) doesn't show up, I'll be very disappointed.

As for recognizing people, I was just going to ask the bar staff if they've seen anyone greeting each other with the word "Brumski".

I am the dude in the middle, obviously! Look for a bald head and piercings. I probably won't be wearing any KATG merch as it's in the wash and I won't be greeting anyone with BRUMSKI cause, well, it's probably for the best not...

Yeah, I was going to just walk in and if I didn't see anyone instantly recognisable to shout Brumski and see who responded.
