No, I did. Your foot hurts which is why you use an elliptical. I'm just saying that you are calling the bike "fatmans bike".

It is also the least impact aerobic exercise machine in the gym besides the pool therefore even 'fit' guys use the bike on days when running just isn't working out for them. Bikes can provide the same workout as running, but since your are limiting arm motion, you must work at it much longer then running to burn the same amount of calories.

the bike just doesnt work enough muscle groups and not hard enough YEs it is better than nothing but it is the least effective of all the cardio workouts.
Also the Bowflex is junk, you will get a better workout and save money just buying a Dumbbell set. There is even one that you can dial in the weight i forget the name but it is just 2 dumbbells that sit on a rack with "dialable" weight settings. You can target every muscle group with dumbells.

So does face and all mean no black bars?

Relax, Francis. I wasn't insinuating anything. The language of your original post sounded like "all Bowflex is junk", and then you endorse the Bowflex dumbbells.

I was making a minor joke, not calling you out.

For the record, I agree with you - a good set of free weights is much better than a machine, you just need to learn the exercises to use them properly. I only use machines as a last resort now.

Setting this up tonight - I didn't forget, I just have hockey this PM and I'm on my way out the door right now...

Not too late for others to join the Nike+ thing, even after it's started - let me know.

I completely agree - free weights can do a lot of good if used wisely.
Get cardio anyway that makes you happy. I prefer cycling outdoors instead of in a gym.
and with all the snow here winters are for drinking beer.
