My wife just left me, please help

Hey,

So, I haven't been very active on the forums, but I've been a loyal KATG listener since around ep 100. So, this probably won't get much attention on the forums, but I'm desperate.

My wife just left me. I've been dealing with depression most of my life and over the past year I've taken a bit of a dark turn. I still work and make good money for us (she does as well), but I've become more and more anti-social. I came very close to killing myself a few months ago, but with the help of a few close friends, family members, medication and an amazing therapist, I started to turn things around.

But, I guess it wasn't enough for my wife. She told me this morning that she couldn't handle my depression and wasn't in love with me anymore. She just left the house with a suitcase and our car. I'm now home alone with our dog. I don't know what to do.

I'm 30 years old, white, Canadian, working on getting drunk, and give a shit load of shits about this. I'm not going to kill myself, but I'm in a very lonely place right now. I moved to Ontario from Nova Scotia (basically, the far-east to the middle of Canada, for my non-Canadian friends), for her 5 years ago. I work from home and the few friends I have here are much closer to her than to me, so I don't have a support system here.

I don't know what to do. I know that this is an online forum and it's Sunday, so I may not even get a response. KATG has helped me so much over the years. I even flew to NYC a few years ago for Keith's birthday/standup show. Perhaps since I'm a VIP sponsor, I deserve some extra help?

Anyway, I guess I'm just looking for a distraction more than anything right now. So, if you're bored and want to help someone out, please respond. I'd really appreciate it.

Peace, love, and KATG.

Cheers,
Adam

Thanks, Keith! I certainly wasn't expecting a response from you. It is most welcome. I've called in once before a few years ago to wish Chemda a happy birthday (my bday is Dec 2nd as well). I think I will try and call in. I find that your shows are often too funny, so perhaps having me on will help bring things down a bit Plus, since McNally has left, you clearly need another depressive Canadian to fill the gap.

Cheers

There's your problem, move somewhere warmer/sunnier. Also the girls are way hotter since they can't just hide their fat under 12 layers of coats. Trust me on this.

Hotter girls + warm weather = happiness.

I just pledged $125 to the 30 hour marathon. That's 62 less dollars that my wife is going to take from me! Any chance my hour could feature Myka Fox! and Myq Kaplan? They are my two favorite guests/people and I think that would make for good radio. Sure, it might fuck them up a little bit, but they're already a mess, right?

Good point, Rufio. Although, I live in southern Ontario and the weather is quite warm here...well, by Canadian standards, at least. My wife if French (France), so I do like foreign women. So, maybe moving someplace warmer would be a good idea

There are more then enough hot and foreign chicks here. We should do a meetup.

You're in TO, Picard? Cool. I'm in...Hamilton, so a TO meetup is certainly doable for me. I'd love to hang out with some fellow Canadian KATGers.

I would recommend Texas. It's November and girls are still wearing short shorts and sunbathing.

From what I hear, "everything is bigger in Texas". Does that include the women's asses?
