Thanks Guys!! This should be enough to go on for now if I use other KATG forum threads for supporting evidence. Of course, any information added to this thread can still be useful. I'll be posting the final outcome at the end of the week!

  • How long have you been part of the forums, and how often do you go on?
Since Dec 05. So almost 6 years, and I'm 26, so basically all my adult life. Go on 5-10 times a day to check throughout the day, sometimes with several-day breaks in between.

  • How did you first become active in the forums? Was there a specific thread that pulled you in?
Don't remember. Foruming is pretty standard for me though.
  • How do you use the forums? Is there a particular kind of thread you follow more than others? (i.e. were you part of the Hottest Guy/Girl Competition? Did you ask for advice on the forums?)
Cubicle Crowd mostly now, and I check in the Show Threads to see what stupidity the noobs post. Jerked to the girl competition. Occasionally ask for advice. Used to try and make long thought-out posts, but now I just avoid arguments and troll the side I disagree with. I generally agree with Cretaceous Bob, and he gets hard-ons from arguing, so I leave that to him.

  • Has the KATG show or the forums changed your life in any way?
I can't really imagine not following it now. They're basically my source for superficial non-nerd and superficial nerd stuff (cons, comics, etc, crap I'll never be into). And world news, since I don't give a shit to read newspapers. Otherwise I'd only know about my super specific hobbies.

  • Do you act differently on the forums than you would in the real world? Is your online personality different than your real-world one?
I'd say no, but it manifests differently. In here is a pretty diverse crowd, but a relaxed atmosphere. Also trollish behavior is pretty standard on the internet. IRL when there is a diverse crowd, it's usually because I'm at work or at some random gathering, so I can't just say stuff like "that's faggot" to a middle-aged woman I disagree with. I'm usually pretty reserved. In IRL places where I'm relaxed, it's usually because I'm around a group I know well, so we're fairly like-minded, and so there's usually no reason to say "that's faggot". Sometimes it's appropriate though. And of course, nobody I hang out with listens to KATG, so I can't reference it.

2005, a quick check once a day ish

How did you first become active in the forums? Was there a specific thread that pulled you in?
Can't remember. The sense of community way back was strong. Ended up meeting people that have changed my life in more ways than I can really say.

How do you use the forums? Is there a particular kind of thread you follow more than others? (i.e. were you part of the Hottest Guy/Girl Competition? Did you ask for advice on the forums?)
I was part of the original hottie comp, Miss February Katg in the infamous hottie calendar, I liked the convo threads and picture threads. The scavenger hunt was fun for a few years.

Has the KATG show or the forums changed your life in any way?

Again I have met people that whether or not they listen to the show anymore that have changed my life. I really can't express how much but real friends, that have been with me through thick and thin and still in constant daily touch during my waking hours. It is more than just people with a common interest, the ones I am speaking of know more about me and I them and the closeness that we have is incredible.
Do you act differently on the forums than you would in the real world? Is your online personality different than your real-world one?
Nope, I'm me everywhere.

Good luck on your project.
