Great minds think alike AF.

Meanwhile, only last week someone in my lab was all, "What in tarnation do you mean you still use Wolfram Alpha, are you some kind of caveman? Haven't you even heard of Symbolab?"

https://www.symbolab.com/

There's also

https://www.derivative-calculator.net/
https://www.integral-calculator.com/

These one-up Wolfram Alpha by providing step-by-step solutions for free. Obviously they won't help you during a test or exam but they're essentially worked solution generators so for assignments and for test/exam practice they should be a big help.

Started full time school (along w my full time job) at community college and GOOOD LAWD this is a fuckasston of work. It's all easy for the most part, just a real crash course in time management. I haven't been on this forum in (at least) weeks. I MEEEES YOU GUYSES

Anyway, killing it at skoo! I get up at 5am and do an hour of homework, go to work, race home to shower and go to school an hour early to do more homework before class, then come home and do another hour or two before bed. Shit cray. Brain's like... matthhhhhhhhhh... esssaayyyyyyssssssss....

Will report back when I can breathe!

This is very cool. I forgot the joy of going to school and working towards something. I graduated college back in 2011 and just finished 6 years in the Navy. I've found myself more depressed now that I'm just working for a paycheck.

I think I'll finally get off my ass and make tangible efforts to get into Grad School. I've been studying on and off for every admissions Exam (GMAT, GRE, LSAT) as my interests have fluctuated, but haven't had the courage to actually take one.

Anyway, I'm happy to hear about your progress, astrokahn. Looking forward to reading more of your success.

Nevermind, this isn't what I want at all. I loved going to school for the sake of learning and being acknowledged for my effort with good grades. Grad school would just put me in another meaningless 9-to-5 job.

My identity has always been defined by success within institutional frameworks. Yet, I've evolved out of that mind state and my self-worth is defined a lot less by official accomplishments that institutions certify about me.

Well that de-escalated quickly.

Thanks for the support though and I hope you find that which you define yourself to be satisfying.

I also love KhanAcademy. It's possible the inconsistent challenge level was down to them evaluating your current capabilities prior to giving you exercises relevant to what you need. That said, I haven't used it for a few months so maybe they ruined it.

I don't use maths too much in my role, but I'm about to take on a buttload of new duties that may well require a refresher, so I'll dust off my KA account and give the other sites recommended above a go!

Great job astro, this was an inspiring story!
